Guidelines for this Forum - Game Threads

In an effort to reduce spam and give members the chance to participate in game threads, we have imposed a 1-in-5 rule on all threads which follow a game style. What constitutes a game thread will be determined by an administrator after a review of the thread. We will make every effort to make members aware of which threads must follow this rule.

This is in follow up to the "what will you be for Halloween" thread, expanding the theme to include any halloween-oriented rituals/traditions you might engage in. Also if you have any fun/funny/scary halloween-oriented true stories to tell, share!

Personally, I've got "None of the above". Haven't a clue if we're handing out treats this year. We don't do much decorating other than a couple of window clings.

I'll be carving pumpkins, handing out treats to trick-or-treaters, decorating the house and watching scary movie. :)

Pigging out on candy doesn't work for me (Diabetes sucks :crybaby: ) but my wife is going to torture the dog by dressing it up in a spider costume :P

I want to dress up as one of those straw scarecrow things (the ones that you can sit by the front door) and sit by the front door and freak out the TTers as they come up for goodies. :devil2:

I've found some sugar-free candies are out there.So don't consider it a total loss!
My family does just about all of the above.We kind of go all out on the holidays!

We don't do anything for Halloween anymore. Though I do want to see if the house near us is going to do the doctor who scene in their yard again. I bet some people here would get a kick out of it if I got a picture.

Someone did that to me one year. If you do it right you can really freak some people out, just be still and patient.

i saw a video of a guy who did that, pretended to be a scarecrow or something sitting on the porch, but it was a real person and these 2 guys walked up to the door - probably teenagers - and the guy jumped out at them and the teenager in front socked him in the face! then he realized what he'd done and tried to help the guy. it was pretty funny.

TR - sorry to hear you're plagued with diabetes. I have many family members with it and see how much of a pain it is to them.....it must be reeeaaallly trying.

I'm currently torturing my dog also. He is sporting a pumpkin patch jersey with a cutesie picture on it.

We do the works for Halloween....a costume party the night before, hand out candy the nite of...and carve a pumpkin.

Most people don’t go to haunted houses... I wonder if it’s because they don’t like them or because there aren’t any good ones around?

I’ve been to a couple, but I’m not a fan of horror movies and things of that nature so to be honest I just don’t like them.

One of our local attractions is the Winchester Mystery House.

I’ve been there a couple of times - once when I was younger and once with my daughter. I’ve always wanted to do the flashlight tour on Halloween. It really is a weird place... (stairs that lead to walls, fake windows, etc.)

I'll be carving, handing out treats for a while (making sure to hoard some for myself) and pigging out on the candy I hoarded till I throw up or get close to throwing up.

Well, you could pig out on sugar free candy, but we know what that sugar alcohol does to ya :blink:

I'll most likely be watching scary movies with my girlfriend.
