This thread seems like an obvious addition to me... but maybe there is a reason no one else has ever tried to start one :s we'll soon see.

What's the point of this thread?

Aside from letting the world take a glimpse at what you might look like... on a good day? bad day? fun day? sad day?... all that aside... there really is no point. One thing I hear people say over and over again when I meet them at conventions is "It's so nice to put a face to the person"... and I suppose seeing someone adds a whole new dimension to the interaction. A picture is worth a thousand words.

So... any rules?

Well naturally, you gotta stick to the forum rules... so lets stick with no indecent exposure (yes Cougar... we've heard stories)... and if you choose to comment... try and remember that these are people... so be nice.

So I'll get the ball rolling

Great idea for a topic, Richard!

...Well, I'm not as pretty as you are, of course, but here is a picture of me:

This was taken at RingCon 2006.
Having that beautiful, impressive animal sitting on my hand was quite an experience. His name was Sancho, and he kept surveying his surroundings with strikingly intelligent eyes - it was a bit like he knew he was posing for photos and actually enjoying it!

I agree with you that it's nice to have people's faces in mind when you deal with them on a forum. I have a couple of pictures up here at TU in my album "C'est Moi."

Actually, that's the best I've ever seen Richard look. I do prefer the first one, because of his 5 o'clock shadow. It makes him look more serious.
