I'll use a code or something if I get so ridiculously stuck that I'm just completely frustrated, or once I've beaten a game thoroughly. But I could never get into those hack-style cheats, even after my cousin gave me his old GameShark. It seems too easy.

I don't use cheats the first time through. Sometimes after the first time I'll use cheats to make the game more interesting.

Yes, in UT2k4 cheats are good bug finders.

well, some codes are meant to be cheats, others somewhere inbetween ...

like loaded is a cheat, ghost is somewhere inbetween, where as other tools such as "stat fps" or "demo rec" are definitely editors tools ...

when i record a video i will usually turn the demo rec on and god mode on so i can record ... but since there is a problem with the .avi converter in UT2K7 (when i use it anyway) i use a secondary program in spectator mode ...

I also take the time to hide the hud as well too ...

I can remember phasing through walls in Doom being pretty fun. Found all kinds of easter eggs that way :)

i figure there is no harm in using cheats by yourself in a single player mode, but if you cheat online then you are hurting the community by convincing them not to play fair or quit because of frustration ...

The only time I used cheat was to spawn 100 or so monsters very fun for the couple of seconds you live.

i like to complete a game, then use the cheats afterwards to incite an appropriate level of carnage.
