PROPS (ie full scale equipment)
Hand Phasers

The weapons used by Federation personnel. The models have been made available by Mike Haggard on his 'Albion Rising' website - Whilst you're there checkout 'The Haggards' models made to complement his soon-to-be-released fiction.
  • Phaser Type I ("Pocket" phaser, c. 2266)
The earliest version of the standard Starfleet hand weapon was a small, easily-concealed sidearm carried by landing parties which was capable of a variety of settings and beam widths and was carried on diplomatic or low-risk missions. For information on the TV show props, see RACprops
  • Phaser Type II ("Pistol" phaser, c. 2266)
This was a Type-I phaser with a pistol-grip attachment containing a power pack in the pistol handle, and a wider range of settings and beams. Carried openly by security personnel, and by all crewmembers on hazardous missions. It was used through to ST III. For an exhaustive article on the prop, see RACprops

Hypospray

A piece of Treknology that has made its' way into real life. Shoots a high-pressure, microscopic aerosuspension stream of prepared medication through skin and clothes into the blood stream, musculature and fatty tissues. First seen in TOS
Mr. Itoh, who must be a *major* collector, runs a Japanese site that has photos of everything that opens and shuts on Star Trek (my thanks to Ethan Williams for the link). Another good site for info is "The Tricorder Site" but beware - not all of them are props used on TV or big screen.

Clever Santoro Lopes of Brazil has released a range of Star Trek models as free downloads on his Windows Live Space - From the movie era, The NCC-2000 USS Excelsior, the first vessel of it's class and the NCC-1701B Enterprise - just follow the links under "Download" on the left hand side of the page. As always it is a high quality pdf download with snazzy LCARS cover and detailed plans and sections - worth downloading just for the plans, Enterprise especially!

Obrigado muito muito, Clever!

PS - I don't have a thread for models of the TNG and later eras yet so I'll slip in here that he has two Nova class ships as well, the Equinox (from Voyager) and the USS Rhode Island. Now if only we could convince him to do a repaint for the USS Batavia as seen on Star Trek: Dark Armada! - K
