I have to say the EMH with Neelix as a close runner up. I'd watch a spinoff with either of those two.

...now ask me who I'd want get marooned on a desert island with and it'll be the beautiful Mrs Columbo every time! Katie M rocks. Yes she does.

I would have to say, that my favorite character was not one character, but three. To be more descriptive, I greatly enjoy the few episodes where The Doctor, Seven of Nine, and Tuvok all worked together to accomplish some ridiculously impossible feat. The character which that trio made up was my favorite. However, if I had to choose just one, it would be Tom Paris. I don't know why.

I know this is a Voyager Love thread, but I am not really a huge fan.

However...

I do like some of the auxiliary characters they came up with over the years. Off the top of my head, I like Lon Suder. He was a very complex character in a dark way, and I wish we saw more of him. i really like how he got to redeem himself before he died. I also really liked Lindsay Ballard, even though she was a one-shot. It would have been super-cool if she had been part of the semi-regulars as Harry's perfect counterpart. It would have made her one episode MUCH more meaningful.

I`ve met Robert Picardo, a very nice and professional man. He is high on my list. :)
But I have to add Janeway, Seven and Harry Kim right up there - Janeway on the top.
I love classic 23rd century design!

I generally preferred to girls to the guys (it helps that I was a teen girl when I first saw this), I liked the whole search for purpose and trying to sort themselves out and own themselves quality to both Seven and B'Elanna, they both filled different needs, but both were incredibly cool. There is the big exception however, of Janeway who just seemed a little too "Starfleet" in the worst sense of the word, too self-righteous and too in-flexible to me, getting more authoritarian as the show went on. As to the guys, the EMH grated after a while with his egotism, Neelix was an experiment that never worked, Harry Kim was sweet but no backbone, Tuvok was the best Vulcan addition to the Franchise since Kirsty Alley's Saavik, Chakotay went from being a lone wolf to a poodle of the worst kind, a guy so unimportant that you couldn't possibly get upset about and don't get me started on Tom Paris. There's such entitlement to his first personna its ridiculous, then by the time he's with B'Elanna, he's just an overgrown frat boy that won't grow the hell up. I never saw what the 'shippers saw in those two.

1. Seven
2. B'Elanna
3. EMH
4. = Kes, Tuvok, Harry, Neelix
5. Chakotay
6. = Janeway, Tom

As to supporting characters, I would have loved to get to know the Engineering staff, Carey, Nicolletti and Vorik and Sam Wildman a bit better and I thought Icheb's earnestness was incredibly endearing, he really did become Seven's little man to some degree (I hope that didn't sound bad but little soldier doesn't fit).

And wait till you're sitting pretty with a case of Andorian shingles, see if you're so relaxed when your eyeballs are bleeding. Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence." ~ Bones

Hum, I have to say Tom Paris, even though I have no clue on why I like him.
