Last year, we had a shot at picking favourite songs so this year we are going to go for DVD's (or VHS if you got a favourite on VHS)..........it can be a boxed set, music

DVD's/Video, cartoons and feature films anything except for R rated stuff and so i begin with my 10 selections and also it doesn't have to be in order and after a month we'll see what people like the best

1. Top Gun
2. The Breakfast Club
3. Skyhooks - Latest and Greatest (music DVD)
4. Mighty Ducks 1
5. Young Guns 1
6. Forrest Gump
7. Apollo 13
8. Star Trek First Contact

Not in any order...

Star Trek The Wrath of Khan
Peter Benchleys The Beast
Jaws
Serenity
Free Enterprise, new extended version
Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back
The Abyss
Logans Run
Planet of the Apes
Terminator 2

I think, there's probably some really obvious things that I like more then these but have currently forgotten... :)

EDIT: Logans Run! That's what I forgot... I take Independence Day off and put that on :D
"And crewmen Bennet and Heyden over there, do you see them? Unless I'm mistaken, they are preparing to mate. Do you think they might let me watch?"
- Dr. Phlox

"That's what we like about you, Mulder. Your ideas are weirder than ours."
- Byers

The Abyss, that was an intriguing film
Planet of the Apes, the original is better than the modern although i'd love to see a follow up of the remake
Logans Run, wanted to see that one
Jaws, a perfect film
Serenity, a perfect film for a cut short Sci-Fi series
T2, that was Arnie at his best
ST:TWOK is the best of the Trek's
SW:ESB - Good film

Should of kept ID4 on the list because it was mind blowing effects for 1996, i remember getting it on VHS and my dad always played it when guests came around from interstate etc because they never had good tastes

In case anybody has been wondering why respond after two years i thought it was a good idea to catch up on some old topics of interest lost in the daily shuffle of posting i should also add i like to add the following to my choices

Freebird The Movie

Fantastic film showing Lynyrd Skynyrd at their absolute best before and after their horrific plane crash it is kind of sad seeing Ronnie Van Zant play in the July 1977 shows knowing he would be killed a few months later

well to be honest not many new topics have come around here since late 2006, it is an interesting topic because it challenges one to name few movies out of the many thousands we have seen

Best advice just list the ones that give the greatest joy

Holy crap! Are you my twin?? Except for Highlander, I agree with EVERY damn movie on your list and even Highlander I could watch, but never cared for that series.

I guess I have a twin. :P
I put the first Highlander movie in, didn't like the second one much and still havn't seen the Highlander 3.

So would you change Highlander for a Indy movie?
