Just a little fun poll to see who uses them. :) For the record I never played a certain FPS in "I am Death Incarnate!" mode :P

I say yes, but not the god mode cheat ... that makes the game(s) boring.

But in the game, Deus Ex, the summon and spawnmass cheats are hilariously fun :P

for example,

spawnmass lam (grenade) 125

lam is the item
125 is the amount of the item :P
I'm back. LOL.

Cheats are fun to use when the game is over.

I used to cheat all the time but I realized there was no accomplishment in them and now I only use them if there is no hope of moving on without them. Despite being very good I was unable to beat the final undead level in WarcraftIII without cheats the first few times through. Eventually I did win it legit though.

Sometimes I will actually get someone else to find and use the cheats so I won't know them and won't be tempted to use them.

When I started to play computer games, and acquired Doom + Doom2, Wolfenstein and the other FPS games of the time, I have always used God Mode.

Nowadays I normally don't use any kind of cheats, only in cases when I cannot complete a level even after the 7th or 8th retry... which is fortunately a rare case, nevertheless sometimes happens.
Most recently, a Croatian FPS, Croteam's Serious Sam 2 proved to be really difficult for me. The game normally features 350-400 enemies on a normal level, but the final one has at least 1000. Of course they attack in several waves (80-100 at one time), and pose little difficulty if someone gets used to the game, but the final Boss really made me angry. It was simply designed to provide a sado-masochist experience for the gamer, and since I like game scenarios where the player has at least the SLIGHTEST chance to reach victory (which was not the case in SS2), I've finally turned on God Mode - but only against the Boss.

Long story short, I normally do not cheat in Single Player, and NEVER cheat in Multi Player.

I only use cheats when I have first completed a game or I become bored of it, and I never save after using them. Sometimes its fun to have a flying car or go around with god mode on blasting the hell out of zombies with a sawn off

I used to, but a few years ago I realized that the game was much more fun with it as a good challenge.

Cheats are for the weak.

Game bugs are a whole different matter though.

PostalDude®, what bug in what mission is that ?
I've completed both Armada 1 and 2.
Perhaps the bug is known to me.

Trust me, comparing it to the last level of SS2, that was just a nice walk in the park... Even Chuck Norris would have to use one or two first aid kits...

While I'm sure it is hard I have trouble picturing an unbeatable serious Sam level. It is such a simple and easy game.

It is Armada 1
A StarFleet mission, when you you have to eliminate the borg from the map, it that mission with enterprise.
I eliminated every one borg building and unit, but there is the bug:
One building is still on a map after it is destroyed, you cant see it on the screen, but when you do a mouse select
over that region it is there, i thought that a radar aray could discover it, but it didnt, it is a bug 100%
Do you know anything about this..... <_<

Well I must confess I play games on their easiest setting. :blush5: With the exception of WarcraftIII which I've won on normal 11 times. (Except the undead campaign which is only 9 times some of those with cheats.)
