I just did.

Hmm, I have nothing to say. And actually I've had nothing to say since the bar opened, but I'm totally here, guys.

Oh, speaking of, I guess I do have something to say.
The writing contest could use some people as judges. We're looking for people who don't submit, or at least don't regularly submit, to judge, because we've found that if the writers judge then there are less writers to participate. And we've been having something of a participation problem, so if you wanted to submit, too, we have a contest that's about to start up as soon as we find a judge.
So, we need a non-writer judge, and if you've ever been interested in writing for the contest, or even think it would be fun to just try it, you should head over to the Writing Contest thread.

That includes Terilynn, Droney, Barbara, Allee, and probably other people I can't think of at the moment who write but don't regularly submit for the contest. You should all definitely consider writing, but if you'd rather participate without writing, you're welcome to put your name in for judging!

Never had the oppurtunity to try Chinese chocolate, but now I know to avoid it if they export it so thanks for that. Also yes, Russian chocolate is yum. We have stores in our region that carry it, though it only comes in large bars so I don't often buy it. I'm still trying to fathom why companies are selling Chinese canned vegetables while US farmers are getting forclosed upon(to all Statesiders that is a hint; buy local produce).

Chinese chocolate is disgusting. It's...it's just wrong. Oohh, a friend just have me a huge bar of Swedish chocolate that he brought all the way from Sweden personally. Yes.

*hugs shinkai* Can't say I'm overly fond of eggplant. The taste is okay, but I'm real finicky about textures when I eat - I can't bring myself to eat eggplant or even most squashes - even zucchini or pumpkin - unless it's baked in a bread of some kind. Go fig.Okay - back to work I go....Have a business dinner tonight - which will actually be very nice. Looking forward to getting out of the house for a happy reason.

I like eggplant. Love it, in fact.

We wouldn't want everyone running away in horror at Droney's attempts at writing, now would we?

What a crappy day I've had so far. It just got a lot worse, too.

Coffee, please.

What've you got to lose by trying? This contest is not about finding the very finest literature available. It's about testing yourself and about camaraderie and fun and all that nice stuff. I didn't think much of my last entry, and it didn't win, but I'm glad I submitted it.

I have a feeling I wouldn't make a good judge. Not in this situation, anyway.

What's so hard about reading entries and then choosing which is best?

My sister was playing tennis last night and her Nikes stuck to the pavement and she did a 270 degree flip and landed on her face - right side planted firmly on pavement. She is one hurting puppy and very scraped up. She says she looks like she got in a fight with a coral reef. She needs to see a dentist and have a CAT scan. Ouch.

Ouuuu - I see Raptor and Trekkin down there! HI *waves*

Umm...did they melt to the court? That is very freaky. I've heard of kids burning their feet on playground mats, but sneakers sticking to a tennis court...woah...

*Wave from another dimension.* I've been having trouble with the transdimensional thingamajiggie.

I sat in on my daughters' Kindergarten class for the day. I was the parent helper of the day. Sooooo cute!! They have the greatest teacher in the world. I just love her. I've seen my share on Kindergarten teachers....*counting out loud* 1, 2, 3, 4....yep...she makes the 5th one I've dealt with. She sent them home with their "Science Project Books" to be finished up over the summer and she wants them to bring them in to be delivered to her in the fall. Just so they will keep exploring! What an awesome woman!!

Okay...as far as American workers go....we may be spoiled, but we work more than any other nation in the world. Our products are pretty good. It is management that screws things up.

Local produce is great as long as the local guy is not spraying pesticides and contaminating the water, here. I'm kinda into the genetic modification of plants as an alternative to pesticides...but that is kinda scary, too.

Judging??? I can barely keep up with backreading TF...Sorry boys...

Night all...

I'm in the midst of re-posting a year-old novel. I haven't had time to write anything new (although my heart is aching to do so...) Who knows kids, maybe I'll show up in the writing thingy....

The only writings I have ever judged are Model United Nations resolutions, as well as maps, story-TELLING, science, themed collages, and number sense. I'm not sure that would give me the credentials to judge here, my perspective may be quite a bit different.

That's it!

Squash is great in deep-fried slices, like they have in Spain. That gets rid of the gooey texture pretty well too, but isn't exactly healthy. :P
