I'm thinking this Ezri ^^^ is having some serious self esteem issues!!
It is all love...we love em all... some characters we love to hate!!! Like...whatzername...Kes...
Are we ever really HERE, man?
"...death is my bread and danger my butter - oh, no, danger's my bread, and death is my butter. No, no, wait. Danger's my bread, death - no, death is - no, I'm sorry. Death is my - death and danger are my various breads and various butters. ." -Woody Allen

And yes, Bashir finally got a girl.. Lucky for him that the worm he'd actually been in love with all along came in pretty packages
For he who made them rests in his horizon."

That make the infamous phrase from Eating Raoul even funnier..."Down on your knees...you WORM!!"...or was it "Lick my shoes???" not so infamous afterall.

Oh and I also agree, this Ezri ^^^ is having some self-esteem issues. You need to set a schedule with the Counselor, Ezri.

She ended up serving as a love interest to Bashir, which was nice and all, but in the end, she didn't really do anything and was kind of irritating.
Never try to replace a beloved character with a similar character. It always goes wrong and usually means you just jumped the shark.

Oh, I agree they milked her character for pathos, but to me it felt synthetic. Like it was being thrust upon us to justify this new character to us.

That's why, it never should have happened. Why reintroduce us to a character when you know you're wrapping things up?

With episodes like "Prodigal Daughter" and "Field of Fire" in addition to the whole "Rescue Worf" story line from "Penumbra" on, we got to see a lot of development for Ezri.
Yes she was unsure of herself, but that was one of the more interesting aspects to her character. Who WOULDN'T be after having 7 lifetimes of other peoples memories suddenly thrown into you unexpectedly. Remember that Trills went through training for YEARS before being joined.
You also have to take into consideration the limited amount of time the writers had to really explore Ezri. Considering all that was going on in that last season I'm still amazed and pleased at the amount we got...which comparably speaking was more than Jadzia really got in one single season.
I WAS vastly grieved to see Jadzia go, but I liked Ezri. And I like what they've done with her in the DS9 continuation novels.
