Absolutely must be Spock.

T'pol may have inched her way into the running had we gotten a few more seasons to flesh
out her character (who knows what's down the road? it may yet happen).

definitely Spock, he is the man. I would go with T'Pol in second. After all who better to have as a science officer than a Vulcan.

She's Naomi Wildman's mother. Naomi was the first child born on Voyager, when it was in the Delta Quadrant. Neelix was her godfather. And later on, Seven became her friend.

Samantha Wildman was the chief science officer on Voyager. She sat at the science station on the bridge. But usually she wasn't shown doing anything science-related. Maybe she helped out the doctor sometimes or joined away missions.

The only reason I put her on the list was because she was an established science officer, even if I had an idea that she would never get picked. I only wanted to be fair.

Who's your favorite science officer?

I don't think TNG had a specific science officer.

If you'd said "hottest science officer" T'pol would have run away with it, but Nimoy set the standard.

In later seasons, 7 did most of the visible science work. Especially the Astrophysics.

I would still vote for Spock.

So did Harry Kim, but that doesn't make him the chief science officer.

Although :vulcan: will always be the BEST science officer IMHO, I had to vote for Dax as my favorite. Yes, I know it's the eyes and spots that won over the ears of Spock and T'Pol, but she was such an inventive science officer. A lot of "out of the box" type thinking.
That's how I always took it. The Chief Science officer was always one of the unnamed/non-speaking blue shirts manning the aft science stations....but Data did function as the CSO for most events.

Of course each department had their own CEO, and during certain scientific missions, a specialist would serve as the science officer/specialist. Remember Lt. Cmdr. Nella Darren?

Hmm, I was always confused by that since medical personnel always wore blue. Perhaps both can cover the same dept.?

I went with Spock on the poll. He's the science officer others would mimmick. :vulcan: :D

Hmm... i don't think it would be logical for a doctor to also be a science officer... With all the injuries one might get on the line of duty i can't immagine medical personel to leave the patients just to explore some new type of a weapon, flower or something like that... There must have been specialised team of science officers that sometimes worked together with medical personell to find an occasional cure for some exotic disease though.

Definately Spock..he's simply the best. :)
May the road rise to meet you.
May the wind be always at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your face.
And rains fall soft upon your fields.
And until we meet again,
May God hold you in the hollow of His hand.

I hate to admit it, being a TOS fan of old, but I voted for Jadzia. Though admittedly, that may be a hormonal urge. :D

T'Pol gets an honourable mention.
