Went with Malcolm on this one.

He's hot and he's got that SEXY British accent. He had to chase Archer around and was never listened to ('Don't think it's safe, Captain.' 'Naw, we'll be alright, Lieutenant. Stop worrying.' That's his job!).

Don't know much about the others. See 'Science Officer' thread. I really should start learning about the rest of Trek besides Enterprise.

If you are in a dark alley, who do you want protecting your backside, a scrawny little vulcan or a p.o'd klingon?

So the combination is 1-2-3-4-5. That's the stupidest combination I've ever heard in my life! That's the kind of thing an idiot would have on his luggage!- Dark Helmet; "Live free or die. I have to say Odo...he is just like the best at be able to stop criminals...

I would rather have him protecting my back rather than an Adrenaline controlled Klingon.

Well... my choices for security chief aren't on the list... I'd pick either Garrovick or Giotto from TOS ... but Reed would be in my top 3 too!

Let's face it... if someone from TOS, other than Scotty (of course), had the guts to put on a red tunic... they deserved the kudos! :D

What, no alternate universe Malcolm on the list? :P

Worf is my favorite, maybe because they developed his character more, but he is a Klingon and you can't ask for a better security cheif than that. Malcolm would be 2nd on my list though.

Hmm... With Odo being forced to liquidate himself in a betazoid woman's lap and Malcom Reed being of somewhat shadey past because of his section's enlistment... I'd definitly choose Worf... He's big, strong, has a world of a sense of honnor and never backed away from a fight. He exceeded expectations of others countless times... Quote of capt. Picard :"...Never underestimate a Klingon...".

True he might have had breaches... but so did every other chief of security listed here. Even the best of them isn't perfect.

It's such a hard choice...

I eventually went for Odo... his shape-shifting abilities gave him an edge over the others... plus he always knows who to keep a keen eye on! :ferengi:
