While many enjoy individual stories and episodes over big continuing arcs, I however enjoy a longer story because it allows for more depth and keeps you coming back to see what happens next. I loved the Dominion War (DS9 season 5-7), Xindi (ENT season 3) and Kazon (VOY seasons 1-2) arcs, and they are probably some of my favorite moments ever in Star Trek.

Its a tough choice, but I had to go with the Dominion War. It took DS9 from a boring start to an exciting conclusion by season 7. The characters and script-writing was top notch, as well as the acting. The suspense and action was great too, as were the impressive visual/special effects for television.

The Xindi arc is in close 2nd. I love the characters and I enjoyed the various conflicts, especially the conflict between the Xindi.

And the Kazon arc is in close 3rd. Seska's deception was one thing, but then there was Jonas' deception, and Paris' odd behavior.

Xindi. Although I gotta praise the dominion war because it made certain episodes of DS9 watchable.

Dominion War- It brought the best out of the characters and was long enough to entice us with great stories
The Xindi arc was good, especially the last little bit of it. And the Kazon arc didn't really do it for me.

I picked the Xindi. I thought the whole arc was very creative.

I haven't seen all of the Dominion War, so I don't really have an opinion on it right now. And I didn't really care much for the Kazon.

Favourite arc has to be dominion war. Especially the siege of ar 535 (it reminded me of the stories about world war I).

Worst arc Xindi arc. It seems one of the reasons why Enterprise was cancelled. Yes bring in a september 11th style story because its topical but not for a whole season.

Also why create a new arc like Xindi when there are huge potential for stories with the new show. Just look at the final season as an example. Klingon forehead issue, mirror universe birth of federation.

yes.. it would have bin great ot let enterprise explore all those options... and they would have made it longer if the xindi didnt take a season and a half to solve..

and was the kazon really an arc ?? never like them very much

The Kazon episodes could be argued that they are/aren't an arc. The episodes involving Seska and especially Jonas I thought of as arc-like, as it became a small story that fed over several episodes, and finally concluded in "Investigations" and more-so in "Basics"

gues your right about that .. it took more then a few episodes to end the kazon story and move on to a new part of the delta quadrant.. so yes..we can call it an arc :D

I loved the Xindi Arc. I haven't seen all of the Kazon or Dominion arcs. Perhaps I am biased, but I can't see why so many people hated the Xindi arc. So what if you knew Earth wouldn't be destroyed, do you really think the producers would let it happen in a future series? I don't think so...

Dominion War definitely! Worf's and Martok's characters get fleshed out, Nog turns out to be more brave than the average Ferengi, and generally the episodes are better written and executed.

i went for the dominion war over the xindi, purely because the xindi arc followed a similar model based on the one set by the dominion war... both were excellent though, the kazon just got annoying after a while...

The Dominion War would be my favorite. I did enjoy the Xindi arc.
"Give me your boot." "What for?"
"So I can squash it." "Are we allowed to squash alien life forms?"
"If they're inside your sleeping bag. There it is. Wait a minute. Where'd you put the phase pistols?"
"You wanna shoot a bug?"

Great action indeed, and in addition, great story and characters. Everytime I re-watch the Dominion War episodes, the characters and settings grow onto me more than the action.
