Trying to make a functional start button, but so far nothing, but failure... in good news I managed to make a graphic timer... but when game over pops up the game is still playable... this sucks, why is it so hard to program such a simple concept?

I don't get it? How hard is it to import your background and a mouse cursor? and not have the screen flicker when you try to use it? So far I've managed with the help of the one who wrote the hard part of the program figure the thing out, I'm just really trying to do the wicked design part, but I can't seem to get it right,...
